Missing Harmony

January of 2010 I found out I was pregnant .. what a surprise! Soon after we found out the pregnancy was ectopic (stuck in a fallopian tube, instead of where it should be). In March, I had to get a shot of Methotrexate and ... I was no longer pregnant. I would have been near 12 weeks at that time, since it was now 8 weeks since we found out.

This still hurts every day, except today, for some reason, I feel it a little bit more. I'm not even sure what brought it on but here we are, and so I decided to share with all of you!

I have a Pinterest Board for Harmony, when I post fun things, as well as general Pregnancy Loss pins. I found myself looking at my board today and searching for more to add. This is the exact moment I realized I should be sharing my thoughts.

While I explore rainbows and what thoughts I can put into words, I listen to Now I Sleep - solo piano by John Albert Thomas. Plus I just love that rainbow piano photo, don't you? I've never really written much of anything about the whole experience either, so this is rather new.

I love to organize things by color, just like the photo below, that I took myself using Instagram of Hubby's tons of Gatorade :) You don't want to see my home desk drawer of sharpies!!

I am already feeling better, I thank you all for allowing me to express myself.
I leave you with our Cutie Patootie, Riley. You can't hide that smile!!

And our Kitties (Ninja & Jax).   :)

Do you ever feel like you just want to hold on to your emotions for a little? Sometimes I just like to sit and think, even if it's going to bring all those upsetting feelings out, maybe it's just a way to feel close to Harmony again.

Chicken, it's what's for dinner

After reading a fellow blogger, and friend's, post about Grocery shopping my way out of debt, I decided we NEED to do this! So last week we went to Publix (local grocery store) and bought only a few dinners. Below is one that I made Friday night.

We bought this prepackaged chicken stir-fry dinner. I cut the chicken strips to smaller pieces, placed them in (lactose free) milk and egg, then coated them in Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. Then I put the chicken & veggies into their own skillets to "stir-fry" :)

The veggies were so awesome. The dinner came with carrots, snap peas, broccoli, & cabbage. After the chicken cooked a bit and the veggies were softened, I mixed them together to cook for a few more minutes.

MmMmm .. It really was great. I even put some biscuits on the side, these are my Hubby's fave ... unfortunately they are not homemade. That is added to my list of things I totally want to try!

I hope you've all enjoyed reliving our dinner, and I haven't made you too hungry!

What is your favorite meal to cook?

XOXO,

There's a new kitty in the house!

That's right, I said it, we got a new kitty, and I am so excited!

This is Shadow aka Ninja! We adopted him Sunday afternoon and he is just about 6 1/2 months old!

We already have Jax at home, who just turned 1 last week.
They are still sniffing each other out and getting used to one another and the change in their environments.

I can't wait to send you the next update on their transition!!

Do you have any pets? What kind and what are their names?

XOXO,

Special, Special. Read all about it :)

Hey there, Friends!

So it's been a busy weekend, I had a wonderful "Pamper" (spa) Party this weekend! It was so much fun, I had a few friends over and they brought their kids to play with Riley (my 6 year old step-daughter)! We just sat around the table, chatted and sampled some skin care products.

That got me thinking, I really want to share these special products with you, so I am giving free shipping to everyone who signs up as a member, or has an order of $100 (retail), through the end of September! (that's another 2 full weeks!!)

ps. This special is NOT for this weekend ONLY, it will end on September 30th 11:59pm EST.
It will also be for ANYONE who becomes a member during their order, or if you decide not to become a member at this time (and automatically receive 15% discount), then it will be on all retail orders of $100 or more.

HEY, those of you that are interested in having an In-Home party, or even catalog/internet party, please contact me! I have great deals for that as well, including at least 2 FREE products!

Stepping out of the Comfort Zone

Don't you think it's nice and comfy in the Comfort Zone? I tend to love it - however that's not going to get you to achieve your biggest dreams.

The other day I came across the website of a wonderful woman, Marie Forleo. In her words (from her website), she's is the "love child of Tony Robbins, Richard Branson, Oprah & Jay-Z". Her website & newsletters are full of tools to improve your business and life.

On Marie's website is where I came across the chance to win a ticket to her annual conference in NYC (value $2000!). This is where my Comfort Zone was left behind.

http://www.marieforleo.com/2012/09/win-free-ticket-rhh-live-2012/
At this link you find the rules to enter to win. When I read it was a video entry I closed the browser. I left! Then I thought, "You know, why not??". So I sat down and read all the details that needed to be in this video - Public on YouTube, Ahh! - but I stuck it out and actually did it! And you know what? It felt good, I actually just did something that I would have never dreamed of!

Mind you, I don't think I'll actually win, there are SO many amazing entries already (nearing 350 comments on a 4 day contest, and still more than 24 hours to go!) but it still is amazing to do something out of the ordinary.

So just a note, from someone safe in the Comfort Zone, it is fun to step out once in a while, and none of the scary things, you might think of, will happen!
